Explore Phở Cafe

Tucked into the lively streets of Bankstown, Phở Cafe offers a warm and inviting spot for anyone craving authentic Vietnamese comfort food. From the moment you step inside, the aroma of simmering broth sets the tone for what many consider one of the best phở experiences in the area. The highlight here is undoubtedly the phở itself-deeply flavorful, slow-cooked broth with a distinctly southern Vietnamese character, paired with generous portions that satisfy without feeling overwhelming. Alongside the noodles, their rice dishes also stand out, offering variety for those who want something beyond soup. One refreshing companion not to miss is the freshly pressed sugarcane juice, which adds a naturally sweet, cooling contrast to the savory dishes. Despite its relatively small and cozy interior-ideal for small groups of two to four-the space feels welcoming, with polite and attentive service that enhances the overall dining experience. Beyond phở, dishes like crispy chicken have pleasantly surprised diners with their quality and value, holding their own even among well-known competitors in the area. Pricing remains reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes and consistent quality, making it a reliable go-to for both quick meals and casual gatherings. The balance of authenticity, flavor, and value gives Phở Cafe a strong reputation among locals who return regularly for a dependable and satisfying taste of Vietnam right in the heart of Bankstown.

Perfect homemade pho, big portions and flavourful soup. I go here when pho an is closed. The combination pho here has oxtail so its 22 bucks, a bit exy but great once in a while. The rare beef is 17 bucks so its still great if you dont want to spend more than 20 for pho. Also nice sugarcane juice, they add a touch of orange and it tastes really amazing. Please bring back the kumquats as well for the sugarcane juice ;-; they tasted so good. They take card & cash here.

Best Chicken pho I had so far The only pity thing is that their trading hours don’t cover dinner time. I finally had a chance to dine in on a Saturday, with no doubt, both soup and chicken met my expectations. If you live or work nearby, it’s a perfect lunch choice.

I am loyal to Pho An for their Southern style intensely spiced broth. BUT, walked past this and it smelled SOOO good so had to follow my nose. It tastes as good as it smells!! The broth is very clear and although it's Northern style light broth so only lightly spiced, the clarity is wonderful and has a thin enough layer of fat not to feel greasy but thick enough to add delicious flavour. They also offer an oxtail option which you don't often see on pho menus!

Underrated and unassuming cafe but easily one of the best Pho in Sydney. It is always a pleasure to walk past in the morning with the delicious smell of Pho as they open early for breakfast. The Pho broth is tasty and has a genuine meaty taste, none of the artificial and instant stuff. Everything I've tried so far is delicious and the pricing is decent.

Often come here for Pho as i believe it’s the best in Bankstown. Better than Pho An. The broth is rich in flavour and the portion size is generous. I also tried the crispy chicken dish and was quite surprised (having tried Tan viet and love theirs). It held its own taste wise and for $13 for the dish. Quite the bargain. Soup included vegies too which serves its own uniqueness.

Pretty good. It looks like they specialize in pho as not many others (eg vercimille) options are available. For pho, you may choose beef with tendon, beef with tripe, etc. Rice is available as well. Nice sugar cane juice too. Closed on sunday.

Very nice traditional Vietnamese Pho dishes and rice dishes. Sugarcane juice is freshly made and very tasty. Polite service and large dish sizes. Restaurant is a bit small, suitable for 2-4 people. Highly recommended to give this place a try.

The Pho at this restaurant is easily the BEST in Bankstown. The broth is absolutely delicious, authentically southern style. Decent portions, reasonable prices. Pho here is much much much better than Pho An. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it tasted. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place if you want an authentic and delicious bowl of Pho. Addit: the name of the restaurant has been changed to “Pho Cafe”.
